Outreach
If you want to know a bit more about wetlands look at my talk here (2020; Portuguese only) .
Since 2018 I teach classes for traditional populations, kids, as well as technical and undergraduate courses for the LTER-Eastern Brazil (or PELD-HCES). During the course, the students learn about the importance to preserve mangroves, rhodoliths beds, and many other coastal ecosystems within their related biota. We talk about ecosystems services and how it is essential to human wellbeing. These courses involved many people along all Brazilian regions and other countries (and increasing, hope so).
During my undergraduate 2012, I took my firsts two courses for kids and teenagers about the importance of marine biology and the risks of biological invasion (5h each).
